"The game becomes fun when the coach makes practice fun"  George Brett, The Sandlot Strategy.

John Moore coaches a neighborhood team.  They put the pitching machine in the middle of the field and tell the boys that if they work hard for a few minutes on some fundamentals, they will turn on the machine and play a game.  It really works.

He said on the way home last week his son said, "Hey dad, why can't we practice every night?"  The correct answer, "I don't think mom would like us being gone every night".  Is that great or what?
